An early interest in embroidery led me to a C&G course in Creative Embroidery at the London College of Fashion.
My interests are in modern organic architecture and the beauty of landscape and mountainous regions. I am drawn to the canyons of SW America; to its rock surfaces, colour and strata; to the cave dwellings, rock art and artefacts of the prehistoric peoples who dwelt there.
Photography is my starting point, then drawing, from which ideas are developed. My current work comprises felt and tapestry weaving; combining different techniques/media to create sculptural 3D pieces, or textural bases on which to stitch.
