I have always been fascinated by colour and pattern since being taught embroidery stitches by my aunt. I loved to dive into the box which held the silks and threads she used and this pleasure, working with colours and soft textures has never left me.

Towards the end of my City and Guilds’ embroidery course, I began experimenting with machine and hand stitching on dissolvable material. This is a technique I am still exploring working from my own photographs and sketches.

I often work on small pieces, commissioned to celebrate a significant event in a person’s life.
