Harriet C. Robinson holds City and Guilds in Embroidery Parts I and II and a Diploma from Windsor College. She finds inspiration for her work, usually in machine embroidery or counted thread techniques, in her garden and the countryside around her on the Isle of Wight and her Dalmation dogs. Her lectures on the history of embroidery include one on bags and purses, one on canvaswork and one on waistcoats.
