Janice Lawrence

I have loved the look and feel of textiles since childhood, but it was an exhibition at All Hallows, London Wall that opened my eyes to a new world of embroidery. After completing a geography degree at the LSE I took C&G embroidery at the London College of Fashion.

I exhibit, teach, give talks and enjoy working on ecclesiastical and secular commissions.

Travels have taken me to South America and the Polar regions which have strongly influenced my embroidery.

I use hand and machine embroidery on traditional and exotic materials.
