After a busy life of teaching, talking and commission work in the UK and abroad, life in Devon is different. With the exception of ecclesiastical commission work, I am making the difficult change from “working embroiderer” to “hobby textile artist”.
I enjoy being part of the NEG because preparing for exhibitions gives me the incentive to stitch. As I paint in watercolour, most of my work seems to be pictorial, but I use a variety of techniques, with machine and hand embroidery.
I am a life member of the Embroiderers’ Guild and now a member of the West Country Embroiderers.
