Ever since she discovered at Art College the many different textures and surfaces that needle, thread and fabric could create Moyra has been hooked on embroidery.
Over many years she has worked to a variety of themes but currently cars are her source, because they are such a part of modern life, an ever present image. But the sleek exteriors hide the driving force, which is the engine, so both are combined in her designs.
Hand and machine embroidery together with computer printing on fabric are used to interpret the images.
