After experimenting with needle, thread and fabric at Art School, I went on to teach the art of embroidery all my working life, writing four books among other things, as well as tutoring.
In my retirement I enjoy working for exhibitions. I am President of the New Embroidery Group.
My design sources include birds, flowers and cars. The latter are such a part of modern life, an ever present image. I computer print my own designs on fabric as a base for hand and free machine stitching.
