I studied for a N.D.D. in Woven and Printed Textiles at Leicester College of Art, followed by a Teacher’s Diploma in 1949. After teaching art and needlework for 25 years, I took early retirement in 1985, in order to pursue my own work.
I joined the NEG in 1968 and have held various offices on the committee. I now live in St Ives, Cornwall, and belong to St Ives Art Club.
I make creative hats, often using silk paper, including some for two local theatre groups.
Having exhibited widely, I have work in private collections in the UK, USA and Australia.
